Learning together how women separated, divorced, and/or remarried can lead the Eucharistic Revival in the Church
Women at the Well is an event to discuss and learn about how women who are separated, divorced, and/or remarried can integrate into the life of the Church. It is offered to women at every stage of the process, so that the Women at the Well can participate and even lead the Eucharistic Revival in the Church. Breakout sessions on different topics as well as conferences on major themes will be provided.
Registration for Women at the Well is now closed. Please email Kelley Chapman at kchapman@diolaf.org for notifications of future events.
It's true . . . there's no such thing as a "Catholic Divorce" . . .but millions of Catholics DO get civilly divorced, and it affects and hurts us all.
Have you or someone you know, suffered the breakdown of their marriage and family, or maybe going through it right now? The Catholic Divorce Recovery program is a ten week series created to bring hope and healing back into your life whether you are newly separated/divorced or have been divorced for many years. The program brings not only fellowship but addresses topics that include shock, denial, anger, grief, guilt, forgiveness, money, annulment, dating, remarriage and much more. Participants can expect to work through the emotional aspect of separation and divorce and find a deeper understanding of God's love. Those who have been through the program have commented on how helpful it was for them, especially being able to share and listen to other individuals going through similar experiences.
Please contact the Office of Marriage & Family Life, 337-261-5653 for more infmation or to pre-register for an upcoming series. Series are held at parishes throughout the Diocese.
Want to have the Catholic Divorce Recovery Program in your parish? Ask your Pastor if he would be willing to sponsor one or two parishioners to become a trained facilitator for the program. It is recommended that in order to become a trained facilitator, you have first completed the program.
The cost is $185 per parish kit, which will include a Leader’s Guide, Leader’s Journal, one set of The Catholic’s Divorce Survival Guide DVD’s, and training for one facilitator. If the parish wishes to send more than one person to become a trained facilitator but only receive one parish kit, the additional cost will be $75 per person to cover their materials for the day.
To inquire about upcoming faciltator training opportunities and to register, please contact the Office of Marriage & Family Life at 337-261-5653 or email Kelley Chapman kchapman@diolaf.org
