Marriage Record: possible date or 5-year range of marriage
Death Record: possible date or 5-year range of death
We DO NOT provide notarized copies of sacramental records. We provide official copies that feature the Diocese of Lafayette Seal.
Sacramental records prior to 1993 are not searchable by name. Records are arranged by (1) church parish, (2) sacrament type, and lastly by (3) date. Without this information, we will be unable to search for a record.
Notations from Rev. Donald J. Hebert’s Southwest Louisiana Records are helpful in confirming the correct record. However, this does not necessarily expedite results due to records not being searchable by volume and page number.
The Archives does not keep cemetery plot records. Please contact the church parish to which a cemetery belongs to access plot information.
