On Saturday, Jan. 14th the Pro-Life Office of the diocese hosted it's annual Festival de la Vie pro-life prayer walk. It was a beautiful day filled with music, moving testimonies, prayer and fun.
Maria Revere gave a challenging and encouraging testimony on the dignity of those born with special needs. The special needs community was further represented by the D.R.E.A.M.S. Foundation, Train Unique and other organizations.
Jacob Tonglet with Louisiana Right to Life spoke on our post-Roe world. LA Right to Life and LA Black Advocates for Life were in attendance. We also heard testimonies on the dignity of all human life from the Hispanic Ministry and Hospice of Acadiana, as well as, a testimony on the need for stronger marriages from Domestic Church. Several of our local Pregnancy Resource Centers were also in attendance.
Special thanks to the Knights of Columbus and everyone who helped with this event. We are already planning for next year!
