Violence hits all communites, incomes and age groups, and it also tests our faith. We have a responsibility to respond. Acadiana has had its share of violence, domestc abuse, serial killings, stabbings, and the list goes on.
Join Bishop Deshotel, the Office of Justice & Peace, and Marriage & Family Life on Saturday, April 18, 2020 for a Survivors of Violence Mass. This special Mass will be held at Immaculata Center Chapel, 1408 Carmel Drive, Lafayette at 10:00am. Please use the registration form below to register yourself, if you are a victim of violence, or the name of your loved one that died by violence. A candle bearing your name or his/her name will be displayed near the altar. The names will also be printed in the Mass program.
We encourage you to bring a table top photo of your loved one that died by violence so that it can be displayed near the candles during the Mass. At the conclusion of the Mass, you will be invited to take the candle and photo home. A reception will be held after Mass.
